[mythtv-users] suddenly all my recording are gone

Try the tests and suggestions at:

Either the frontend cannot talk to the mysql server, (mysql not running/ 
networking broken) or the server has a problem ( server cannot access 
its temporary folder, or the partition is full etc. etc.)

Check the partition where the mysql database is stored. Check the 
partition where the log files are stored. Under fedora, this is /var in 
both cases. Check the permissions on that partition.
