Jason,

  When I was adding a second machine to my Myth setup I caused myself to
have a similar error. My problem was the master backend IP and local
backend IP did not match. One of them was set to 127.0.0.1 and the other
was set to my real static IP. Stop your backend and then run
mythtv-setup. Make sure the local backend IP and master backend IP are
the same.
