I tried that, but it didn't work. I still have no sound. I also tried
setting the Audio Mixer to ALSA:Default as Nick suggested and that
didn't work either. Here's my latest snippet from my frontend log:

Initialize Yadif Deinterlacer. In-Pixformat = 1 Out-Pixformat=1
yadifdeint: size changed from 0 x 0 -> 480 x 480
