[mythtv-users] Difficulty with KWorld ATSC 115 after Ubuntu Upgrade

Hello!

I have a MythTV box that I recently upgraded from Xubuntu Gutsy to
Hardy. Ever since I did that, my video input card doesn't work!

I have a K-World ATSC 115 which I use with an antenna to grab
over-the-air ATSC signals. Before I upgraded from Gutsy, I got four
stations perfectly (100% signal) and another five okay (90-95%
signal). Ever since the upgrade, when I try to watch TV, MythTV never
gets to the full 100%, and never locks onto any channel. The highest
it gets is 99% signal, and it complains either of No Lock or Partial
Lock with (L__) or (LA_) displayed, respectively.

I've tried completely removing the card from MythTV and re-adding it,
but when I scan for channels, all of the channels I used to get come
up with "No Tables". I've tried watching TV with MPlayer, but it
doesn't lock on either. This suggests to me that it may be a driver
issue and not a Myth issue.

None of the logs are any help either. The the Myth backend log simply
responds as if I didn't get an adequate signal, along with every other
log I've checked.

I don't think it's the software anyway; yesterday, I swapped out the
card with another, and there was no change. It must be some sort of
driver issue related to the upgrade.

I've hunted far and wide on the internet for a solution. The closest
I've found is the thread at
http://www.gossamer-threads.com/list.../337610#337610 in which,
halfway down, someone with Xubuntu encounters what appears to be the
same problem with the same card, and fixes it by reinstalling the
firmware. I tried this procedure, but it didn't change anything for
me.

Here are some of the relevant files and commands: My
/etc/modprobe.d/saa7134.modprobe is this:

alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 saa7134
options saa7134 card=90 disable_ir=1

Which seems to be correct according to several sources. 'dmesg | grep
nxt' gives:

[ 57.108128] nxt200x: NXT2004 Detected
[ 57.148105] nxt2004: Waiting for firmware upload (dvb-fe-nxt2004.fw)...
[ 57.909336] nxt2004: Waiting for firmware upload(2)...
[ 59.457284] nxt2004: Firmware upload complete

This also seems to be correct, according to several sources. The only
anomaly I've found is in 'dmesg | grep saa' which reads:

[ 56.118991] saa7130/34: v4l2 driver version 0.2.14 loaded

This seems to be much longer than most other threads indicate it
should be. In particular, I've never seen a reference to the eeprom
lines anywhere else. Could this be related to the problem? Does
anyone here have experience with this card?

Thanks in advance!
