Hi Damian. I used the GSAMBAD package to configure samba under ubuntu and
it was fairly painless. I configured one user account and one share using
the program since my requirements were very simple.
If you do wind up creating multiple accounts for remote access, you will
need to pay attention to file system permissions for each account as well as
what mask values are used when files and directories are created. Samba
uses the credentials of the user creating or accessing the file to determine
permissions. A file created by userA may or may not be accessible by userB
depending on the configuration.
