I'm a big fan of the "If it ain't broke.." rule. My historical plan
for MythTV has been to leave it up and stable as long as possible,
then build a new box and start from scratch when I need to. I know
the wrath of a Myth-Less wife and it's not worth flirting with..
Unless you feel you have a need to run patches and updates at some
point in the future, then it may be worth doing now so there will be
less of a change in the future, but otherwise, leave it alone.. What
about cloning the system volume to another drive and running your
patches there? Then you have a fall-back plan?
   Todd
