Actually, repeat skips every nth key press, so repeat = 2 means it  
will process the first keypress, but not the second, the the third,  
but not the 4th, etc. Note that setting your repeat too low may result  
in unintended key presses depending on the sensitivity of your remote/ 
receiver so the real way to do it is with the Page UP and Page DOWN  
keys.

Your probably correct on this, I don't claim to be a guru by any means. All I know is if I irw a remote input I get 3 entries and if I hold the button I still only get 3 entries. However with repeat = 0 one keypress = 1 movement. But with repeat=3 I can hold up down and get a nice repetative down or up action. Same with pgup and pgdown. All other buttons are set to repeat = 0. 

What I have been trying to figure out is how to press a remote button and hold it and have it accelerate instead of just a very constant repeat. Has any toyed with this?
