It is a ton of work.... But I had 7 computers in the house; keeping all of
them updated, running, and maintained was a HUGE amount of work.

Now I'm down to 3; one with 2 heads, one with 4 heads, and a 'regular' PC.

Also, since the 2 myth heads are connected to the server, they're on 24/7;
no booting.  No noise either.  No power consumption to speak of.

And don't forget the coolness factor.  It's definitely not something that
is common.  :-)

I haven't tackled LIRC yet; so far I'm running all heads with IR
keyboards.  I have some ideas based on kbdd and multiple lirc daemons,
each patched for a single port.  (kbdd lets an LIRC keyboard emulate a
regular keyboard.)
