Well, my mac mini with a 2.33GHz C2D is having trouble properly
displaying some H264 encoded 1080p video I have.
Also with mythtv the GMA950 doesn't support stuff like OpenGL sync.
I've tried all de-interlacer option and 1080i MPEG2 video looks crap.
The best result I got was with GreedyMotion but the CPU usage jumps to
120+% ..
So yes, I agree .. it's mostly to do with the CPU but if the video
card basic support is crap the system won't go far.
I have another mythtv box, with a nvidia 8600GT and a E8200 CPU
(2.6GHz) and the picture is perfect, H264 decoding never struggle,
de-interlacing for liveTV is perfect etc...
On paper, there isn't much difference between the T7600 2.33GHz C2D
and the E8200...
The X4500HD also has hardware H264 decoder, though I'm not sure if
Linux supports will ever be added to make use of it.

Thanks for your answer ...
