[mythtv-users] Migrating Myth to a new machine

My Mythtv server fried. Had a VIA EPIA M-10000 board and looks like it
died from the bulging capacitor problem. Unfortunately the drive where
most of my shows was stored died as well. Fortunately the drive that
contained the OS including the database is OK.
I'm migrating to an Athelon 64 X2 5000 CPU based system. This Myth will
be a backend only. I'm using my PS3 for the frontend. I know that I have
toreload the OS (Mythbuntu), backup/restore the data base, and then
repair it. I think I can get the old OS booted on the VIA board long
enough to backup the database. After I import it, how do I find the data
base entries for the missing files and correct them. Once the data base
is corrected for the missing shows, is there anything else I need to fix
before I run Mythsetup?
I would certainly appreciate any advice I can get from the list.
Thanks
Roger
