[mythtv-users] Slave backend wake-up

Hey,

Been struggling a bit with getting this to work, the several manuals and
howto's describe this based on a combined BE/FE.

The situation I'm using it in is a backend with 2 capture-cards and a
BE/FE with 2 capture-cards, al writing on the same NFS-shared filesystem.

This in itself works well, but forces me to manually switch on the slave
backend to be able to record more than 2 channels(who invented primetime
anyway ;)).

The howto I used is this one:
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/MythTV/Install/WhatNext/ACPIWake

But if I use that the master backend takes the settings I set on the
slave backend and then goes down at the time the slave backend should.

Anyone have pointers how to set this correctly?
Waking the slave up via ACPI timer in bios( or by using echo
'wakeuptime' >/proc/acpi/alarm) or by using WOL works. I'm just at a
loss of how to program it in the master backend.

TIA,

Jos Hoekstra
