How to tell which back end is supplying programming...

I am trying to track down some occsional stuttering. It's not the
content as I can play back HD fine some of the time. And I don't think
it's processor power. Because when it happens mythfrontends are only
taking about 20% of the CPU (I checked both the MBE and the SBE (the one
I was watching the show on) using "top" when it happened last). The
processor usage for both instances of mythbackends were similar. I did
notice the MBE machine also had a commercial flagging process running.
But that was around 20% as well.

If I knew where the programming originated (MBE or SBE) I could start
looking closely at that machine.

Further observations: 1) The last time this happened the SBE machine was
playing back a low-res NTSC recorded show. 2) Shows that have stutted
(both NTSC and ATSC) have since played back w/o stuttering.

...thanks
