I guess I would agree that Windows software falls into the
"unstable/experimental" category.

For my extra $30 I got the device sooner, and also some protection
against the product being pulled.

Very true. Many people spend $30/month or more for re-packaged tap
water, others spend over $1,000 per megabyte to send SMS messages.

Note that I said it was "interesting", I was not suggesting anyone run
out and purchase one. Anything that has even a hint of inexpensive
hardware h264 decoding should be of interest to a lot of folks here, I
just wanted to be sure that they were aware of the matter.
