One possible workaround is to turn off the option to start 
commercial-flagging as soon as the recording starts.  If the commercial 
flagging didn't start until the recording had ended, it seems that you 
wouldn't run into this problem.

This is in the backend setup, 8th screen in from the second option on 
the main setup screen.

Of course, you'd have to wait a little longer for your commercial 
flagging to be done this way, as well.
