[mythtv-users] Slightly OT - PCI Express v1 and v2.

Hello,

Like many of you, since hearing the news of the VDPAU availability on
NVIDIA cards, I have been looking to buy a 8000 or 9000 series card. I
am interested in something from the 9000 series at the moment.

It seems the 9000 series cards I have looked at are all PCI-e v.2.0
but my motherboard specs (for MSI K8N Neo4-FI) state that it only
supports v1.0a. So am I correct in assuming that a PCI-e v2.0 card
cannot be plugged into a PCI-e v1.0a mobo? Luckily the 8000 series
seems to use PCI-e v1 so these might be a safer option.
