[mythtv-users] Mythtv on second X screen: several issues

OS: Kubuntu Intrepid with KDE 4.1
Mythtv-version: 0.21.0 from repositories
Setup: dual head. Monitor through Nvidia graphics card and tv hooked up via
Hauppauge 350 and ivtv framebuffer

As I tried to upgrade my Kubuntu Feisty installation to Intrepid, I
discovered that KDE 4 does not support multiple screens. As a result I get
Plasma running on my monitor, but a black additional X screen on my tv on
which I can move around the typical ugly X cursor. In itself, this is not a
problem, as I can run applications on the tv using DISPLAY=:0.1. This works,
except I get no window borders, telling me kwin really isn't running on that
screen. For running Mythtv this still is no problem however.

The problems start when I for example run the 'appearance' submenu in setup,
which after completion reloads the interface (prescaling...). After this
Mythtv is unresponsive. I am thinking this is a focus issue.

The bigger problem is that Mythtv crashes when I try to watch live tv. The
last lines from the output from the -v all option are:

I can watch live tv on my monitor.

So, any ideas what's going on?
