Are you sure you've got passthrough enabled? It's trying to send 6 channels
- it should only be sending 2. When I play a AC3 recording I get:

AFD: codec AC3 has 6 channels
AFD: Opened codec 0x8e9f60, id(AC3), type(Audio)
Opening audio device 'spdif'. ch 2(2) sr 48000
Opening ALSA audio device 'spdif'.
