No, although no ATi equipment here.  Have you tried looking at the ATi 
driver lists to see if it's a issue with them?

Is there any diagnostic software you can throw at the card, because to 
be honest "random stuff appearing on screen" sounds like it's either 
overheating the RAM/GPU or preparing to participate in a swan dive.

As said, only thee times I've ever seen a GFX card go mental like that are:
1. Bad drivers.
2. Overheating.
3. Banjo'd card.
