[mythtv-users] will a database work if I change the storage setup?

Yes it will cope with that. I completely moved my master backend to a
new machine and also moved all of the recordings as well. There was a
database change needed only because I did not name the machine the
same as the old machine was named. In the process I moved from a
single directory to storage groups (7 members in the default storage
group). I did this with svn 0.21 around 1 year ago and it worked very
well. Once you have storage groups setup you can move recordings
between the groups if you want and mythtv will find them in the new
location with no database modifications.
