I was using a P4  (3.0 GHz, 1.5GB RAM, AGP GeForce 6200) to display HD 
content I recorded off clear QAM (Comcast) and it was displaying 720p and 
1080i perfectly smooth. I did not use XvMC or libmpeg2, instead I had just 
one video profile with the standard decoder, xv-blit, OSD softblend, and 
linear blend/kernel as deinterlacer.
