I have done the folllowing
1. checked nvidia-settings and ticked the correct boxes Vsync to Blank etc..
2. added the "UseEvents" option
Now the CPU hovers around 40-50% but I still get tearing on fast camera pans
etc
I'm using resolution :
(II) NVIDIA(0): Virtual screen size determined to be 1920 x 1080
I also did a little experiment with a lower resolution eg "1280x720" and it
appeared to be a smoother playback BUT the screen is underscanned. ie The
Desktop doesn't fill the entire screen.
is there a setting which tells xorg to fill screen with any resolution?
Note my TV supports either 1080i or 480p..
Thanks
