[mythtv-users] Black preview images in 0.21?

Is anyone having an issue with preview thumbnails with 0.21 within the
Watch Recordings screen (also appears to happen wherever the thumbnail
is used - MythWeb)?

When a preview is created for an MPG it seems fine (for me anyway I
use a Time Offset For Thumbnail Preview of 20s) but when one is
created for an AVI it appears to use the very first frame of the file
which is usually black or virtually black.

Is it possible to change this back to how it was in 0.20?  Perhaps
using a slightly higher frame number by default (e.g. instead of using
frame 1 use 5 to see if that is better) I do not believe the AVI
thumbnail ever made use of the Time Offset For Thumbnail Preview value
it was always a thumbnail of the 5th frame or so?
