Henrik,
I have a P4 3.0 GHz as a frontend only, and while it can display 720p/1080i
just fine (did not test 1080p), any deinterlacing of the 1080i content
pushes it over the edge and playback gets jumpy.

Another frontend with a 3.2 GHz Pentium 4 does deinterlacing with kernel and
linear blend, but not with yadif or greedyh.

Then I have a backend AMD BE-2300 CPU. Just for testing I installed the
frontend and connected a monitor. It plays smoothly even with yadif and
also with greedyh, but can't handle yadif2x or greedyh2x.

The testing was all done with source material broadcast in the US, meaning
all HD is actually in MPEG2, not H264.
