Thanks, now here are my mistakes:

- The uncompressed example should not have had the ".gz" suffix.

- I should have shown "select count(*) from channel;" after
the "truncate channel;" to show that there were now "0" rows.

- I didn't mention cleaning up the mess in 'program' and friends:

mysql> truncate program;
mysql>quit
