You need to diagnose this further, this package does exist - if yum
doesn't see it there is some problem.

That's normal for yum. You should ask yum to simply "update"
instead. If you tell it to only update one package you can run into
this.

The above issues would not be fixed by adding testing.

That also doesn't matter for mythtv packages, but only for any kmdls
(which are not directly related to mythtv) you may need to install.
