I have no workaround. However, I opened a ticket 
<http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/4930> and included a patch that 
should fix this configure problem. The patch changes the configure 
script so that XvMC-VLD is not disabled when libXvMC just because none 
of the openchrome XvMC libraries are present.
