    Newer tech has always been more expensive to produce when it's
first introduced. The manufacturers of the component parts are still
working out how to make the stuff and how to make it cheaper. This 
has nothing to do with the historic insistence of Apple to charge 
2x or 3x for what everyone else has already. The notion that if Apple
is introducing it then they are necessarily first is just silly. So
is any notion of cost based on that.
