Gentoo is caught up, I installed it yesterday :-)

It's a little messy/confusing in there with the package
naming/numbering. My best guess:

0.21_preXXXXX - pre-release (early alpha SVN)
0.21_betaXXXXX - beta release (close to a release SVN)
0.21_pXXXXX patch release (released version, but checked out from SVN)

so the pXXXXX is the one you want mythtv-0.21_p16468.ebuild and
mythtv-0.21_p16483.ebuild are already in portage.

So far it's all installed fine, except for mythgame which doesn't compile.
