The problem is that 0.20 had the built-in assumption that if you let the
show autoexpire, you did not watch it.
Thanks to Stuart Morgan, that's no longer the case in 0.21. He created
a great new feature (nay, a /major/ feature) allowing Myth to track
whether you've watched a show or not.
Settings which affect this include:
Automatically mark a recording as watched
If set, when you exit near the end of a recording it will be marked as
watched. The automatic detection is not foolproof, so do not enable this
setting if you don't want an unwatched recording marked as watched.
On the "General Playback" page of frontend settings. If you don't trust
the automatic detection (or you want to override it after it marks a
show as watched), you can use the menu in the Watch Recordings screen to
change the watched flag.
Watched before UNwatched
If set, programs that have been marked as watched will be expired before
programs that have not been watched.
and
Re-record Watched
If set, programs that have been marked as watched and are auto-expired
will be re-recorded if they are shown again.
Both on the "General (AutoExpire)" page of frontend settings.
From your description, you want "Automatically mark a recording as
watched" enabled (or, at least, explicitly mark them as watched once
they're watched), "Watched before UNwatched" enabled, and "Re-record
Watched" disabled. That means you'll need to change the values of all
three as you seem to want the opposite of the defaults (the defaults
make it work like 0.20).
