I'd recommend giving it a couple of days--really, take a break; go out 
and enjoy your weekend.  Then--since you said your box is a hack 
box--completely reinstalling Fedora (to clear off all your 
configuration) and MythTV 0.21 release (from packages).  Once you get 
that working, you can then consider switching to self-compiled/trunk.

If you have recordings/rules you want to keep, make a backup before 
reinstalling ( http://mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-23.html#ss23.5 ).  
Then, after reinstalling, do a "partial restore" ( 
http://mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-23.html#ss23.7 ).  Make sure you do 
/not/ do a full restore, or you'll restore your current configuration 
(including any misconfigurations).
