Just for comparison: I have a 250Gb HDD for SD recordings which is
usually 90% full.
Statistics:
Number of shows:
    325
Number of episodes:
    4763
First recording:
    Saturday May 20th, 2006
Last recording:
    Thursday March 6th, 2008
Total Time:
    126 days 9 Std. 22 Min. wasted

I just checked, the mythtv database has a mere 92MB.
