[mythtv-users] Opinion on a P4 Backend // HDD Throughput

Your hard drive will NOT be the bottleneck. As it was discussed
relatively recently (I think it was the discussion about the future
possibility of recording every channel 24x7), even a HD stream
consumes no more than a couple MB/s of throughput (much less for SD),
whereas a single modern hard drive should be able to easily handle
50MB/s even when doing the seeking and FAT updates needed for multiple
streams.
