[mythtv-users] AppleTV or macmini for HD

Hi, I was trying to decide between a macmini or an appletv. I want to
be able to display HD content from my backend. Right now I am using a
hdhomerun box to record hd and the picture quality is awesome on my
macbook pro running mythfrontend on osx and also running some windows
program to display content on my windows PC. However, I need a
solution for my remote setup-boxes. I was thinking either appletv or
macmini. I currently have the orginal powerpc version of the macmini,
but it can't do HD. I think the newer macmini would work, but like
the cost savings of the appletv.

So, here is my question. Will the AppleTV be enough to run a
mythtvfrontend (after hacking it) and displaying HD content? Has
anyone tried this successful and can comment on it?

Also on a sidenote, Has anyone tried 720p divx playback on an appleTV
+ mplayer (nitroTV plugin)? What about h264 encoded on mplayer? I am
worried the appleTV's CPU is not fast enough for sw processing of
modern day codecs.
