You can download the file manually and have a look at it.  I did:

as the courageous Brown, a Second World War sailor descended from a long
line of seafarers, his unlikely parents being Michael Rennie and Wendy
Hiller. Hunter would play a similar hero in the 1962 cheapie No Man Is
an Island, but his reception by audiences was changed by his role as
Christ in the previous year's biblical epic King of Kings, from which he

The "^0^0" at the end is how code point u0000 is printed by 'less'.

A quick look around the listings shows that channel 160 is Film 4.
Other than temporarily stopping XMLTV updates for that channel, I don't
have a way to fix this.
