Harmony remotes. I have the 880. Tons of buttons that you can program
to do pretty much anything you want because you can define macros for
any button.
Expensive, but you won't want to use another remote once you have it
set up how you like.
I think the best thing it's done for me is having a single Off button
that turns off ALL devices and brings myth to the main menu so no more
kids leaving it on LiveTV chewing up disk or with a video preview in
watch recordings chewing up cpu. Turning everything back on (receiver,
TV and bringing Myth to Watch Recordings screen) is a matter of
pressing Activities, then the Watch Recordings button I programmed to
initiate a jump point to the Watch Recordings screen.
The only issues I've had are to do with the way my display changes
inputs (one button will go to DVI1/DVI2/HDMI, another will go to
Component 1/Component 2, another will go to S-Video/Composite, another
for VGA or something stupid like that) and nothing to do with the
remote itself.
