[mythtv-users] Mythweb can't find videos from Mythvideo

I have set up mythvideo so that video files are in the following directory on my master backend:

/media/myth1/video

I can play the videos with mythfrontend.

Mythweb, on the other hand, which is running on the master backend, can't find them. Text is displayed in a page entitled "404 Not Found" says things like

The requested URL /mythweb/data/video/Power Of Myth 1 Of 6.avi was not found on this server.

It naively looks to me like apache must be generating this page.

Other things are working in mythweb: it can find recorded tv programs and music files from mythmusic.

Any ideas what I need to do to get mythweb to find the videos?
