| How do I tell if my cable is being unencrypted? My sister lives in a
| different state and different cable company. I'm building it as a
| surprise and don't know if her cable company unencrypts her channels
or not?

ive never heard of cable that was not encrypted. usually the only
channels not are NOT are the ones available ota (over the air) I believe
the cable companies are bound by law to provide them un
encrypted......thats if they want to follow the law anyway.
google for qam, clear qam, qam tuning etc.
