Hmm... this is part of what was so puzzling: since this is a recent
version of the Nvidia driver, there aren't any modelines specified in my
xorg.conf file. Just a
"Modes "1920x1080_60"
instead. So I gather there must be some handshaking and communication
going on between the nvidia driver, xorg, and mythtv that generated the
1080i mode information.
Anyways, thanks for your quick response: it now stays at 1080p. Now I
just need to dig back through all the other info for the optimization
tips :-) . (I see Xorg cpu usage periodically cycling between <1% to
>84% playing a pvr-150 mpg recording...)
