[mythtv-users] Inexpensive 5.1-channel Audio?

I use the Turtle Beach RIVIERA 5.1 in both of my FE. It works in Linux, and I don't have any problems with my receiver making "pops" when the audio format changes. (My Hercules Game Theater did the popping everytime and I couldn't fix it, maybe I just didn't work with it enough...)

I use these for optical AC3 and DTS passthrough.

They will run you about $30.

I think the Hercules Game Theater will do 5.1, 6.1, or 7.1 analog out if that is what you are looking for. You will just need to make sure that you have the correct libraries loaded to decrypt AC3 and DTS.
