Parenthesized text in the MythTV Status section does /not/ say what will
happen, but provides a list of commands you can use to change what will
happen.  So, since the status says nothing outside the parens, it means
the show has never been recorded by your system.  If you were to click
the "(Never Record)" link, it would tell your system to never record the
episode, even if (/though) it matches an active recording rule.

That means "(Never Record)" is how you tell Myth that you've already
seen all those Simpsons episodes that aired before you built your Myth
box so you don't end up recording a bunch of shows you won't watch.
