Thanks for the info, Mark!

Well, I tried lsusb, lspci, lshw and gnome-device-manager to try and see if my system sees the TV tuner without any luck. Back during the pre-installed-Vista days, my device manager read: SDB-T 1 Segment USB Adapter for Alps Nim (BDA) DigiBest Technology Co Ltd.. Already tried emailing their company but it seems the email address on their website seems to be invalid, and I can't call em up because I don't speak Chinese.

I'm pretty much out of luck, aren't I?
