Few points:
1. What CPU spec?  I play h264 stuff just fine with an AMD X2 4800+.
2. You shouldn't need XvMC if you have a dual core proc
3. XvMC is ONLY for mpeg2, not mpeg4, so it wouldn't help your h.264
woes anyways.
