Back during the great migration from Zap2it to Schedules Direct I
couldn't get my Mac OS backend to log in to Schedules Direct. I found
the easiest way around that problem (for me) was to just run XMLTV. I
have cron run two shell scripts every night, the first fetches the
listings with XMLTV, and the second pushes the listings into myth with
calls to mythfilldatabase for each of my lineups. This works so easily
that I never bothered to trace what the original problem was, though I
suspect a wget issue.

The app "Crontooie" makes editing the crontab file easy in OS X.
