[mythtv-users] digital cable; myth frontend locks up

I have recently installed a fresh machine with Mythdora 5. I'm using
a PVR-500 card, connected to analog cable, and tuner2 -> composite 1
is connected to a motorola DCT2000 cable box.

When I go into Watch TV, and try to tune to a channel that is on the
set top box, the screen goes black, and myth becomes unresponsive.
Pressing "back" or escape yields no effect. If I hit ALT-F4, gnome
comes up asking if I want to terminate a non responsive program
"mythfrontend". Also, myth doesn't appear to run the channel changing
script (/usr/local/bin/channel) as compiled from the contrib directory
under docs. When I run the script manually from command line, it
works fine.

Tuning to analog channels on both tuner1 and tuner2 works fine.

Any ideas where I begin to troubleshoot this?

Thanks!
Gordon
