I am pretty sure that mythshutdown will only hold off from shutting down
if a frontend is connected or if a recording is happening (or if
mythwelcome is used it will hold for a job). That said I think the
script that I included does do what I want... oops.
I have used it before and seemed to remember that it would still
shutdown if I was logged in (I was using the same box for torrents and I
recall that If I left it for long periods it shut itself down regardless
of login). Perhaps it will hold from a shut down if you are logged in
and not idle?
Anyway, I'll keep an eye on it and see how it goes.
