My combined fe/be is an Athlon XP-3500+, single core, 1GB RAM,
PVR-500 SD tuners and HDHomeRun HD tuners, with 1.3TB of disk
space and a DVD burner. Total cost about $1100. It does SD and
HD just fine.

If you would care to send me a free Mac Pro as part of your program
to ensure that everyone meets your vision of hardware
studliness, I'll send you my address.
