Thanks Rich. Yeah I did search the archives which is where I found the link
to the Ubuntu thread I posted before. My main problem is usually
understanding how to do things like upgrades etc.I'm all about doing the
simplest thing possible so as not to screw up my system. Synaptic worked
beautifully.
