 From mythfrontend go into setup-> Edit Keys -> Jumpoints and then set 
link Alt+P to whatever its supposed to be linked to.  Once you have 
matched the Keys to the actions, then as the remote mimics the 
keypresses, then the remote will cause the actions. If thats not clear, 
then have a look in the wiki for setting up the keys, I think it has 
some screenshots.
