A follow up:

I was led to believe that this data included program information that  
might help automatically extend a recording for an event that went  
overtime.

I have discovered that the only thing being transmitted is the station  
source and the time of day. Stations then submit their program grids  
to Nielsen who returns it with the rating and share information.

I don't see how this can be of any use to the Myth project, though  
perhaps somebody will think of something.

Oh well. another good idea goes by the wayside.

Also, now that I know what to listen for, I believe you can hear the  
data, as a "click" sound. It seems to be most audible in female voices.
