OK, I'd like to report that I've made some progress. I created a 2nd
lineup via SchedulesDirect (called Cable by them) which has all of my
regular cable stations (2->99). I then deleted all of my cards
(pcHD5500 & Firewire) and added the pcHD5500 back in for now, setting up
the card to scan for channels on the higher QAM-256 frequency for DVB
and associating the CableDigital lineup with it, and for the analog
portion of the card, I set the new lineup to it and did "Fetch channels
from listing source" as per the Wiki. I then went thru via the channel
editor and deleted UNKNOWN???#? channels that I know for certain I don't
have or care about.
So now when I go into Watch TV, I can tune the analog channels as well
as the HD ones with these minor issues that I hope you guys can clear up
for me:
1) Some of my HD channels must have been had their streams moved around
by Comcast because when I edited them in the Channel Editor, they didn't
match up (I had created a spreadsheet with the XMLTV IDs of the channels
I got and the original stream, i.e. 113#2). So, I went back in to the
Channel Editor and fixed them, and re-ran mythfilldatabase. Now the
listings for several channels are not write. Here's an example:
channel 231 for me is the HD ABC station and channel 248 is the NBC
Local weather station. These were swapped initially, but after fixing
them, I can tune to channel 231 and see ABC, but the listings in Mythweb
show the ABC programming on channel 248 and the Weather programming on
231. Make sense?
2) When I tune to one of the analog stations, I get picture but no
sound. I have the sound dongle from the pcHD5500 card plugged into my
motherboard's input jack. The audio device is set to /dev/dsp for the
Analog portion of the card. Why won't this work properly?
3) I'm sure this is an LIRC issue, but when I was in Watching TV, if I
enter Menu, I'm expecting it to bring up the program guide. That's in
my .lircrc file, but when I do this, nothing happens. This isn't a
major issue for me, as I plan on scheduling recordings via Mythweb. I
will never use the Live TV function.
Thanks for the help!
Harry
